行為藝術家的身體是建構行為的主要元素,透過結合個人身份背景、身體感知經驗以及與世界的連結,創造一個獨有的即時發生,而集體即興行為現場就是透過個體的藝術家共同創造一個以行為交流的場域,即使每位藝術家都有著自己的創作模式和語言,但在這即興現場當中,大家都以尊重和真誠的姿勢建構一個無法重複的多重𣊬間,那種全然「在」的冥想狀態,那種心凝形釋的感覺由此誕生。我由衷地感謝與大家相遇,發掘藝術上的可能性,從而體驗到生命中那無以名狀的珍貴。

As a lily emerges from water or the soil and its bud begins to open, it symbolizes the cycle of life and spiritual evolution. Like lotus flower symbolism, lily meaning also represents this cycle– transformation and rebirth.

即時性和互動性是行為藝術的特點,觀眾的存在是未知的因素,不論主動或被動的參與,會深刻地影響行為現場,在場域中的化學作用與氛圍會隨著觀眾的反應與流動而產生即時的轉變,行為藝術家必須依靠身體經驗作出回應。 集體即興行為現場是一個獨有的創作模式,不止是面對現場觀眾,還要即時面對在空間裡的限制,以及共同創作的藝術家們。

Reflection:
與小芳的默契把場域裡步步為營的緊張感𣊬間傾瀉下來。接承我們之前的合作,繼續以平衡這主題即興地延伸下去。上次的行為現場是把物料放在身體上尋找平衡點,這次正好相反,把身體放在物料上尋找平衡點。

在Group Performance剛開始時,空氣彌漫著緊繃的氣息,就像所有人同時閉氣著,在樓底低的白色空間內被眾多觀眾凝視著,自我意識(Self-awareness)到達頂峰,一舉一動都在被觀看當中,大家都非常克制表情與情緒,集中地在自己的物料或行動,漸漸進入「在」的冥想狀態(Transcendence)。與小芳的即興互動中,我的身體和精神漸漸鬆動下來,整個空間的氛圍也有所轉變,我覺察到因行動而生的喜悅、輕鬆、幽默和玩樂的愉悅(Playfulness),其實也是在行為現場中自然而生的情緒之一。

承上Post

曾經有位觀眾在完結了某次行為現場後,跟我說:「我看到你笑,會不會不太專業,好像不夠集中出了戲。」我一直記著這句話,也有深刻的思考。在行為藝術現場中,情感到底在一個什麼樣的位置?在行為藝術中的「專業」又是什麼?「出了戲」是什麼意思?

“Sense covers a wide range of contents: the sensory, the sensational, the sensitive, the sensible, and the sentimental, along with the sensuous. It includes almost everything from bare physical and emotional shock to sense itself, that is the meaning of things present in direct experience.” Quote from [Art as experience] by John Dewey.

「感官,這詞語涵蓋以下各種定義:感覺的、感性的、合理的、多愁善感的、敏感的。它包括幾乎所有的身體與精神上的經驗,從赤裸裸的身體感官以至情感上的衝擊,也就是在直觀體驗當中感受到存在的意義。」節錄自[藝術即體驗],作者: 約翰·杜威。

在集體即興的行為現場,我們都需要選擇回應的方式,略過或接受,避開或面對,投注多少的能量,什麼時候離開互動,如何結束等。而我所依賴的就是直覺,身體的本能帶著我前行,也許人們都覺得直覺與不理性劃上等號,但是,我認為直覺背後蘊藏著一個脈絡的靈性地圖,當中包括記憶、身體經驗、感知的本能與情感的連結。

生以為人,我們都在尋找當中,尋找屬於自己的路與生活方式。有時候在問題裡總能觀察到提問者的好奇、傾向、苦惱或限制,某些問題有明顯的前設,因此,想要說出心底話必須打破這些前設。有時候,不需要正面迎擊問題本身,只需要展示除了選擇一,其實還有選擇二、三、四、五或六等。因為比起只是不斷攻擊推翻反對,我更相信建立和發展熱愛的事,來得更深刻和有效。

當我們持續地發掘著,模式總會自然地出現,舒適圈由然而生,瓶頸的狀態繼而出現,然而,我們會採取什麼行動?留在舒適圈,還是突破?選擇就在我們手上。

在這次的集體即興中,與大家的互動,我深刻的感受到當下的在,在動與靜的𣊬間,那種連結是多麼的難得。謝謝你們。
