SP book 1: First time Shibari
About this book
Shibari originates as a Japanese style of BDSM. But lately it has been presented in a form that is out of the sexual bondage. The rope artist (known as rigger) Avaem Tenjou Rika has completed her training in Japan. She has collaborated with many artists to promote Shibari in Hong Kong.
There were only females participating in this first time Shibari. The rope bound us so closely where we could feel each others' breath. The intimacy was like sharing secrets between girls.
When first being tied up, it was surprisingly relax and comfortable. The rope shaped the body and firmly created different patterns. It became part of the body and grew together with the bones. All the movements was effortless. Rika would softly ask whether the body could handle such tightness while she tied. Gradually the rope changed to a cramp, and the support changed to restriction. Yes the body was tired. No matter how hard to breathe in with the rope, it cannot handle its power anymore. It was time to untie.
The moment of untie was a relief, a feeling of reassurance, both for the body and soul. The atmosphere was pretty and sweet. The sense of freedom and fulfilment filled within the mind.
First time Shibari is the first issue of the SP photography series. It is a collective works by artists Pang Jing and Siuding, and photographer Simon C.
